Course overview

The ethos of the course is a professional combination of both clinical and self-development disciplines, empowering you to appreciate your own and your future clients’ mind, body and spirit connection.

You will receive a thorough grounding in both disciplines, and learn the significant impact this dual approach has, along with the various techniques and methods which have been used successfully with thousands of clients. The training you receive in hypnotherapy processes far exceeds that of most basic and many advanced courses.

We teach you three styles of working with clients:

Firstly, and most time is given to this, the Structured Approach. As novice hypnotherapists embarking on a professional career where you hope to facilitate positive changes in paying clients, it is essential that you have a tried and tested framework that has proved successful for the majority of Costa’s thousands of clients, as well as for those of our graduates. Our scripts and session notes give you the confidence you need to be able to feel competent and professional from Day One.

Secondly, we teach you the Ericksonian approach which enables you to utilise whatever the client brings, to take them into trance and facilitate the changes they are looking for. This conversational, subtle and powerful approach, the “Milton Model” as it has come to be known, is named after the father of modern hypnosis, Milton Erickson.

Thirdly, the mind-blowing magic of the Rossi technique which has to be seen to be believed and allows the subconscious to make all the changes with minimal involvement from the client or the therapist!  This is named after Ernest Rossi, Erickson's friend and colleague, and the greatest living hypnotherapist, in Costa's opinion.

In addition to the above, we invite you to explore how the focus or consciousness of a therapist can bypass a client's negative mindset and almost guarantee a positive outcome, regardless of whatever techniques are being used. This is Costa's "therapy with consciousness".

All students are expected to graduate with absolute confidence and self-belief in their skills and abilities to make a positive impact on the quality of life of others as a professional Hypnotherapist. You will also find that as you enjoy learning hypnotherapy, you will be taking positive steps on your own path of self-development.

This course is very much demonstration and practice-orientated, and students can expect to receive some home study in order to reinforce their learning, and also to increase their confidence in working with clients.

The course content has been approved and accredited by the Training sub-committee of the Hypnotherapy Association, the largest independent organisation for practising hypnotherapists in the UK with over 400 members. Graduates of the AHH Academy will be eligible for membership of the Hypnotherapy Association and of the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

“If you want to make a difference in the world and understand why we do what we do, come on the course. I liked the fact it was a sequence of sessions for you to take away and use straight away. Inner Child was insightful, as was Past Life.

Groundbreaking and inspiritional in many ways.
Phil Roberts (Class of 2011)
“A fully comprehensive in depth course which provides the springboard to self-discovery and a career in Hypnotherapy. Great course content from everyday phobias, to the so interesting Inner Child therapy and Rossi. Excellent trainers.
Jacqueline Franklin (Class of 2014)
“A Course which teaches you about yourself and how to help others. Well structured with excellent trainers, and covers a wide variety of areas enabling you to help almost anyone. I didn’t realise how much there was which isn’t on the curriculum - e.g. the learning about yourself and the world.
Richard Long (Class of 2012-2)
“The way Hypnosis is described and taught made it really accessible and simple to begin experiencing hypnosis for yourself and then beginning to guide others into that experience for the purpose of change work, was really eye opening.

You’ll go through a combination of demonstrations, exercises and discussions that will have you hypnotising people on your first day and feeling good about the hypnotic process as a whole - definitely worth the investment.
Steve Kirton (Class of 2009)
“Great course. Really appreciated the two different approaches. Highly valued, great tool bag for self-development. Exceeded expectations. Getting the qualification at the end seemed like an ‘added bonus’!
